Cyd's AV program traces the beginnings of an art career that began as a pre-schooler. Charming crayon drawings of earless cats, princesses, and mom and baby brother prove that artists aren't always born with exceptional talent! By practicing what you love and trying hard enough, dreams really do manifest in amazing ways!

Cyd delights kids with spontaneous drawings of wild creatures (teachers can make copies of these for all of the students to color themselves!) A natural storyteller, her hilarious southern adventures have the audience laughing and LISTENING. Discounted Book Orders:
Schools get a discount on the author/illustrator's books—as much as 40%. You can pass along the discount to the students, or use the sales as a fundraiser.

Three ways to get your books:

1. Order individual titles directly from each publisher listed under Cyd's "Books" link above. Be sure to tell them that you are hosting an author event to get discounts.

2. Easier: Order all titles from a distributor such as Partners Books (800.336.3137). Also, with an account, you can order from wholesalers such as Ingram (800.937.8000) or Baker & Taylor (800.775.1100). Again, mention that you are hosting an author event and give the date.

3. Easiest: Order from your local bookstore. The bookstores give a smaller discount, but shipping and delivery will be included and they handle returns. They might even come over and help with book sales!

Kids LOVE Cyd's books! Busy parents and teachers don't always return the book order forms before the visit. Many decide they want a book the day of the presentation, so consider ordering 20% more than you think you need. You can ALWAYS return unsold books.

Get kids inspired!
Read Cyd's books to the children several days before. Talk to them about illustrating and writing books...the more informed they are about the presenter, the more they enjoy and understand the special day.
